NPA Ambushes Presidential Security Group

Since the President Rodrigo Duterte has taken oath as our president he has been fiercely fighting against rebel groups such as the ISIS and the NPA or National People’s Army.

As a response to such aggression, another attack has been unleashed by the NPA as its members ambushed the PSG vehicle. They wore military uniforms and did a fake checkpoint. It caused four members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) injured in the attack.

Chief Superintendent Timoteo Pacleb, Northern Mindanao police director, said members of the PSG aboard two vehicles were on their way to Cagayan de Oro City when the NPA rebels fired on them around 6:15 a.m.

The injured PSG members are now safe from harms way while President Duterte has warned that his stance regarding the issue remains firm. He also assures that his family is safe and can defend themselves and that he condemn the said action. Due to the incident the peace talks between the government and the NPA have been suspended.
